American Radio Theater (ART)is a non-profit organization championing the recreation and resurgence of shows from the past. It aims to create new radio drama as well as bringing vintage stories from the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s back to life. Their productions include radio drama enthusiasts and old time radio personalities who were once part of shows like The Lone Ranger, One Man’s Family and Bobby Benson & the B-bar-B Riders. The veteran radio actor's experiences blend with modern actors and bring you new productions with a higher professionalism. They make radio scipts from the 1940s and 1950s take on a new vibrant life, rescuing them from their dusty storage vaults. They tell new original stories incorporating tried and true techniques of yesteryear. They use full production values, to make the stories intimate and real. They have groups of actors in several locations: Seattle, Washington, and Lexington, Kentucky. Plus some affliates in California.

OTRNow is happy to have the opportunity to offer the modern recordings of the American Radio Theater to fans of oldtime radio. If you purchase one of the ART collections, a portion of that purchase will be donated to the group for future productions.
