INNER SANCTUM - THE MOVIE (1948)
A psychic predicts that a sultry young blonde will meet with tragedy on a train. A man fleeing the police after having committed a murder hides out in a boarding house in a small town. A young boy witnesses the murder but keeps it a secret... The blonde, the man, and the boy all wind up in the same boarding house, sharing close quarters, and trying to cover-up their unsettling secrets. Plot turns and twists ensue, building to a shattering, unexpected climax. Based on the hit radio series "Inner Sanctum", this movie is a undiscovered classic of Film Noir - reminiscent of films like "Detour". A often creepy and dark film, with great dialog, unusually subtle characterizations and solid acting, it is amazingly mature for its time. The ravishing Mary Beth Hughes and the charismatic Charles Russell have great chemistry in this film. Starring: Charles Russell; Directed by: Lew Landers; Screenplay by: Jerome Todd Gollard

Light's Out & Other Supernatural Tales 2 Volume set

"Lights Out" was an early television series based on eerie dramatizations of the radio broadcasts of the 1930s. The broadcasts made writer and director Arch Oboler a household name synonymous with the macabre. It was brought to network television between 1949 and 1952. A precursor to shows like "The Twilight Zone," "Night Gallery" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Lights Out" is a chilling remnant of old-fashioned ghost story-telling.

These are the shows on these 2 Discs:
LIGHTS OUT (1949-1958):
Passage Beyond: Rodd &Milly Turner and their houseguest return from a party to their creepy gothic home... a house haunted by the ghost of family ancestor Lady Ann.
The Man With The Watch: A series of unexplained disappearances perplex Mike Wilson, a police detective under fierce pressure to solve the mystery.

Dark Image: Newly-wed Aleen Pollard makes the mistake of gazing into a mirror once owned by her husband's dead lover.
The Faceless Man: Beautiful French maiden Laure does not realize that handsome stranger Francis Carvel was once the hideously deformed man she rejected, prior to his miraculous plastic surgery. Carvel pursues the unsuspecting Laure, but carries with him a deadly secret.
The Veil: Powerful Defense Attorney David Stevenson arranges to have his tawdry ex-lover murdered. The crime marks the start of a trial for his soul - with his dead lover as the prosecutor and the jury comprised of the slain victims of the guilty men he had acquitted.
Perchance to Dream: A "doppelganger" is the only possible explanation when the dark dreams of fiction author Joe Morgan become intertwined with the life of fellow author Frank Joyce.
PLUS 3 Tales from 2 OTHER SERIES!
. THE VEIL (1958) These tales of the macabre, hosted by Boris Karloff , were featured in the ill-fated TV series, "The Veil" (1958).
Jack the Ripper: Walter must come to terms with his clairvoyance to stop London's most feared killer, Jack the Ripper.
The Return of Madame Vernoy: Young Santha would be pleased to marry her suitor, Rama, except that she is still married - to her husband from a previous life.

WITCHCRAFT" (1961)
Little is known about this early supernatural thriller. Based on true stories by William B. Seabrook and hosted by Franchot Tone, the show never made it past the pilot episode. Skillfully written and produced, "Witchcraft" was as underappreciated as it was ahead of its time. The Doll in Brambles: Witches and hexes are laughable to most - except Louis, who is kept from marrying young Marie after a curse is placed on him by the dreaded witch, Madame Tirelou. With Darren McGavin
